Intimate, personal lyrics with theatre-like production.
A Taiwanese-Canadian singer-songwriter based in Montréal, Thomas moves freely between rock, synth and theatrical pop, maximalist by instinct, with his signature choir stacks. His closest sonic neighbour is Rina Sawayama.
When it comes to songwriting, he believes in pressure of form as catalyst for poetry. His songwriting heros are Stephen Schwartz, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jonathan Larson; His belt-forward vocal style is also influenced by musical theatre, with Aaron Tveit and Jeremy Jordan being his favourite vocalists.
His debut single, “Ferris Wheel Romance,” recorded in Montréal and released April 17, 2026, captures a queer first romance in a 2000s emotional pop-rock palette, written for the kids living it now, and the older listeners who feel they missed it.
“If our love is pure we could run free.”
